Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine was initially founded to improve the approach to musculoskeletal injuries and patient care. We offer the latest techniques and procedures in knee, shoulder and elbow, hip and sports injuries.
When interacting with our practice, it’s easy to see our dedicated staff offers our patients the level of high-quality medical care we expect our friends and family members to receive. Our goal is to help you return to your sporting and daily activities as quickly as possible.
We understand that ligament injuries, muscle issues, joint and bone problems can all interfere with your day to day life. We can help get you moving again quickly. Our staff goes above and beyond to ensure the highest-quality treatment available in Kansas City.
The fact is, when you do one thing, and do it each day, you get pretty good at it. For us, that one thing is orthopedic care. Our ultimate goal is to deliver superior hospital quality, compassionate care, and patient outcomes that exceed expectations. Thus, we’ve helped set the bar on quality measures and clinical outcomes. We’ve accomplished this by providing excellent bedside care for our recovering patients, and by offering an array of services that can meet each patient’s unique needs.
Our physicians are board-certified, fellowship trained and leading research in the orthopedic field. By focusing on patient satisfaction and results, we offer an unmatched level of service and treat each individual as a person, not a disease. AOSM also takes pride in our transparency and commitment to the best care in Kansas City, and here’s how: We utilize a software program that tracks outcomes and compares them to the national average. With this information, we can stay on top of what works, for the betterment of our patients.
AOSM’s focus is on injury prevention, health education and community support to improve the lives of athletes and all members of our Kansas City Community.

Dr. Daggett is very compassionate and caring. He recently did a rotator cuff repair and bicep release for me. I was not looking forward to this surgery, I had this done before (not by him); and anyone that's had this type of surgery knows how long and painful the rehab is. I've had little pain and unbelievable range of motion. He's my go to guy!!!
Dr. Daggett has been my daughter's surgeon for her knee repair. He's also worked with my son and his sports injuries. He came highly recommended to us, and we highly recommend him as well. He's not only very knowledgeable at his profession, but he also takes to the time to follow up and take a personal interest in his patients. We have been very pleased! Sincerely, The Rivera Family
